Teriyaki chicken is a great Japanese dish with delicious delicate bits of chicken coated in a delightful handcrafted sweet and flavorful teriyaki sauce, which can undoubtedly be made at home with a small fixing teriyaki sauce and around 30 minutes of your time.

  • 1 lb chicken thighs skin-on.
  • 1 sliced green onion for garnishing
  • white sesame seeds for garnishing

Teriyaki Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup Japanese mirin
  • 1 tbsp  sesame oil, optional (adds a wonderful flavor)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce, low sodium liked
  • 1 tbsp 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tbsp water as required
  • Touch of ground ginger/garlic (add more to taste)
  • Salt to taste


  • Heat cooking oil in an enormous container over medium heat. Season the chicken thighs with salt as the marinade. Pan-fried food chicken, blending once in a while until delicately sautéed and fresh.
  • Combine all the ingredients of the Teriyaki Sauce in a sauce skillet.
  • On low heat, add the garlic to the focal point of the stew and lessen it to a thicker consistency, around 10 minutes.

Note :
  • Replace garlic for minced ginger. You can also use both if you wish. A hint of garlic adds a twist on a traditional Japanese Teriyaki. Better than bottled sauce!
  • Kindly utilize chicken thighs for this. Bosoms accomplish function admirably, BUT chicken thighs remain additional delicious and are ideal for Teriyaki
