Ingredients for Marination

  • 1 ⅓ lb boneless and skinless chicken breast
  • 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Ingredients for Sause

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 6 cardamom
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon coriander
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric
  • 1 ¼ cups cream
  • For serving chopped fresh parsley


  • slice the chicken breast into small bite size pieces.
  • Mix the chicken with the yogurt, ginger garlic paste, chili powder, garam masala, salt, turmeric, and cumin coat well.
  • Marinate the chicken well and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Preheat your oven 430˚F (220˚C).
  • Place the marinated chicken pieces onto bamboo skewers, and then place them over a baking tray. Keep space underneath the chicken to distribute the heat more evenly.
  • Bake the chicken for about 15 minutes, until slightly dark brown in color.
  • Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat, then add and saute the onions with tomato puree until tender.
  • Add the remaining garlic ginger paste, cardamoms, cloves, chili powder, coriander, garam masala, and turmeric and fry for about 30 seconds until they release their aromatics and flavor.
  • Add the cream and mix well with the onions and spices.
  • Mix the cream mixture until its bubbling, then add the chicken and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Complete the dish with garnished parsley.
